Individual Counselling
Life is sometimes difficult and overwhelming. We struggle to make sense of our feelings and feel alone in our suffering. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space to explore and make sense of experiences. I help you to gain insight and develop the awareness to manage difficult emotions.
Couples Counselling
Improve communication, and positively manage conflicts. Strengthen your connection. Address challenges and resentments and understand underlying issues. Bring meaning and enhanced intimacy to your relationship.
Family Counselling
Adult and older teenage children (16+) and their parents. Parents of estranged adult children. Estranged adult children. I work with you to understand each other’s perspectives. We gently address feelings of anger, grief and pain and get to the root causes. I help to navigate difficult conversations and mediate estrangements.

Meet your counsellor, Jacqueline Allen
For as long as I can remember I have been an observer of people and relationships. My curiosity and desire to understand my own and others behaviour led me to a career in counselling. It is a privilege to do the work I do and to support adults, couples and families to build healthier relationships with themselves and each other.
Guiding Principles
My practice is grounded in the belief that individuals have within them everything they need to heal, find strength, resilience and self-compassion. I provide a safe nonjudgmental space for clients to explore their past, present and future goals. I collaborate with clients to tailor sessions and treatment plans and use evidence-based methods to best meet client goals.

What a first session looks like…
Every session differs depending on the person. My therapeutic approach is tailored to your needs but during our first session we’ll dive into what areas of your life you want to work on, how I can help, and a little bit of your history. From there we’ll create a plan to move forward with.
