About Jacqueline
I was born and raised in Vancouver and spent most of my young life at the beach or gazing out the window at the mountains and the ocean. As a true Vancouverite, rain barely registers and you can find me walking my beloved dogs, not surprisingly, at the beach!
Apart from reading the latest in research in therapeutic tools you can find me nose deep in art and design books or dreaming of escapes to France and Italy to stand in wonder at centuries old architecture and paintings by the Masters.
Jazz classics make me sing…literally, but not well.
I enjoy making food for my family and friends and feeling the warmth of loving relationships.
My approach
My approach is open and warm, and I use a blend of clinical modalities to help meet the needs and goals of my clients. I have a growth mindset and my passion for mental health is evident as I individualize, and problem solve to build treatment plans and shift approaches to achieve tangible goals for my clients. My work is strength-based, and I look at what is working in my clients lives and use my skill to improve what is not. I believe in taking a collaborative approach and draw upon the life experience, self-knowledge and resilience the client brings.
I believe that each person has the capacity to tolerate difficult emotions and experiences. As we work through difficult emotions, we reconnect with our inner resources and find relief, hope and healing.
